If you’re thinking about becoming a volunteer firefighter, Bill Barclay suggests you give it a shot. For him, becoming a firefighter was, he says, “a calling,” but you? Maybe it’s not something you’ve ever really considered, but who knows? You might love it as much as he does.

“Try it,” Barkley says, “You might like it.You get to help your community, heck, you might find it to be a great career choice.

“It’s a great accomplishment in life,” he says, adding, “It’s also an adrenaline rush.”
